2022 General Midterm Election

Note: Voters can register to vote at their polling place on Election Day.

• Must be a United States citizen
• Will be 18 years of age on or before the Election date
• Have been a resident of Wisconsin for at least 28 consecutive days before election day*

*Students from out of state but live in the residence halls or other off campus housing can vote in the state of Wisconsin as long as they can provide proof of residency outlined below*

• WI Driver License or State ID Card
• US Passport
• Armed Forces ID Card
• Indian Tribal ID Card
• Certificate of Naturalization
• WI Driver License or State ID Card Receipts
• Carroll University Voter ID Card*

• Carroll University Voter ID Card (shown below - can be obtained at the Pioneer Card Office located at the Campus Center Information Desk)
• Carroll University Enrollment Verification Letter

Residential students are students that are currently enrolled students living in campus housing. Carroll University will provide a certified housing list to the Waukesha municipal clerk. The clerk or election officials can use the list to verify a student's proof of enrollment.

Wisconsin Resident

• If you have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license or state ID card and have already registered to vote with your current residential address, you are all set.
• If you do not have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license or state ID card, the Department of Transportation (DOT) will provide free ID cards for the purpose of voting if you will be at least 18 years of age on the date of the next election. (The regular fee is $28.) Please keep in mind that you will need to provide a birth certificate and other documents to receive a DOT-issued ID. Therefore, plan to start this process well in advance of Election Day. For information about getting a state identification card, please visit the DOT’s website:http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/drivers/apply/idcard.htm. You may obtain a Carroll University Voter ID card at the Pioneer Card Office located at the Campus Center Information Desk.  Please bring your current Pioneer Card when obtaining your Carroll University Voter ID card. Non Wisconsin Resident Students

• You will need to obtain a Carroll University Voter ID card at the Pioneer Card Office located at the Campus Center Information Desk.  Please bring your current Pioneer Card when obtaining your Carroll University Voter ID card. Visit the Pioneer Card Office for more information.

Commuter students are currently enrolled students who do not reside in Carroll University campus housing. 

Wisconsin Residents

• If you will be using a Carroll University Voter ID to vote, you will need to secure a Proof of Enrollment Document from the Registrar's Office. This document needs to be requested Monday-Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm in Voorhees Hall by Friday, October 31st.

Non-Wisconsin Resident

• You will need to obtain a Carroll University Voter ID card at the Pioneer Card located at the Campus Center Information Desk. Please bring your current Pioneer Card when obtaining your Carroll University Voter ID card. Visit the Pioneer Card Office for more information.
• During the month of October, you will receive a Verification of Enrollment letter from the Registrar's Office. You must present this document to your polling location on election day to qualify to vote. If you have a local address on file with the Registrar's Office, the document will be mailed to that address. Otherwise, your Verification of Enrollment letter will be mailed to your permanent address on file. 
• If you do not receive a Verification of Enrollment letter, you may request one from the Registrar's Office. This document needs to be requested Monday-Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm in Voorhees Hall by Friday, October 31st.
