Most faculty and staff will use Microsoft Outlook to access their e-mail. This is generally more versatile than Outlook Web Access, and includes filters and many other options for managing your e-mail. You can use Outlook to access your Carroll e-mail from any location that is connected to the internet. If you would like to use Outlook, you will need contact the ITS Help Desk and arrange to have it set up for you (Faculty/Staff only).
Logging onto OWA - Faculty & Staff
Faculty and staff can also use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to send and receive e-mail when they are not on campus. Just log onto my.carrollu.edu.
Once you are logged on, choose the Employee tab and access your e-mail by clicking the PioMail button on the right side of the page. You can access your Carroll e-mail using OWA from any location that is connected to the internet.
If the computer that you are using has a pop-up blocker installed, OWA might not work correctly. If you are using Windows 7, Vista or Windows XP, you will need to open Internet Explorer, choose TOOLS --> POP-UP BLOCKER --> POP-UP BLOCKER SETTINGS, and add "*.carrollu.edu" to the list of "Allowed Sites." You will need to take similar steps if you are using any other pop-up blocker (Google, Yahoo, etc.).
