**To ensure that your transaction is posted, please be sure to click the button labeled "MAKE DEPOSIT" - after this screen, you will be prompted to enter in an e-mail address to receive a receipt copy for the transaction. Failure to click the "MAKE DEPOSIT" button will result in a failed transaction.

PiONEer Card Information

Your PiONEer Card is your official campus identification card and can be used in the following ways:
  • Access on campus - provides access to doors, recreation facilities, and library services
  • Meal Plans - used to access your meal plan and Dining Dollars at any dining location on campus
  • BookCHARGE  - find out more information regarding BookCHARGE
  • Carroll Ca$h (On Campus) - once Carroll Ca$h has been added to your PiONEer Card you will be able to use it at the following campus locations:   
    • Dining Services
    • Vending Machines
    • Laundry in residence halls
    • Bookstore purchases
    • Public copy machine (located in the Library)
    • PioPrint- Printing in labs and classrooms
    • Parking Fines (paid in the Business Office)
    • Health Center Fees (paid in the Health Center or Business Office)
  • Carroll Ca$h (Off Campus)  - you are able to use Carroll Ca$h at local participating merchants
  • Discount Program (Off Campus)  - show your PiONEer Card at local participating merchants to receive specified discounts
  • U.S. Bank  - you can turn your PiONEer Card into your ATM/Debit Card
  • Carroll University YMCA - find out more information regarding YMCA membership opportunities


Blackboard Transact eAccounts mobile application allows for easy on-the-go access to the most popular features of Blackboard eAccounts. This application is available in two versions supporting iOS and Android devices. 
Key Features and Benefits:
  • View current account balances
  • View recent transactions by account
  • Make real time deposits to your account using a previously-saved payment method
  • Deactivate a lost or stolen PiONEer Card

iPhone or iPod Devices

The iOS version works with iPhone or iPod Touch using iOS version 5 or greater.

Android Devices

The Android version is supported on version 2.3.3 or greater.
  1. Will my current PiONEer Card continue to work as is?
    • Of course. Please continue to utilize your current PiONEer Card as is, just know that should you ever need a new card in the future, you will be transitioned over to the new technology at that time.

  2. Does my current PiONEer Card automatically work with the new NFC capabilities?
    • Turn your card over to see if you have the NFC icon on the back of your card. If you do not have this icon on the back, your card is not enabled with the new technology.

  3. Am I required to get a new PiONEer Card?
    • Absolutely not. We will be running a special from Tuesday, January 22, to Friday, January 25, where you may purchase the new card technology for a discounted price of $10 if you choose.

  4. What does this transition mean?
    • This means that you will simply be able to “tap” your new PiONEer Card on compatible card readers in the following locations (you can still swipe your card if you wish)…
      • Academic/Residential Facilities (that you have approved access to);
      • Recreation Facilities (Ganfield Gymnasium and RecSports Fitness Center);
      • All Dining locations (when using your meal plan, dining dollars, or Carroll Ca$h);
      • Transactions at the Information Desk in the Campus Center (when using Carroll Ca$h).
  1. Will I be able to “tap” my PiONEer Card for campus dining locations or PioPrint?
    • For all campus dining locations, yes!
    • All PioPrint release stations will still require a swipe.

  2. I live in the suites, will I be able to “tap” my PiONEer Card to get into my suite?
    • You will still need to swipe to gain access to your suite.

  3. How much is a new PiONEer Card?
    • Effective immediately, pricing for a damaged or lost PiONEer Card will go to a flat fee of $20. There will no longer be a tiered pricing system for campus ID cards.

Lost PiONEer Cards

Did you lose or misplace your PiONEer Card? Click here to freeze your account so no one can access your information or until your PiONEer Card is found or replaced?
Did you leave your PiONEer Card on a table in the Main Dining Room? Dining services personnel might have noticed it. Did you drop your card on the sidewalk when you opened your backpack to get a book? The president might have found it as he walked to her office. The Information Desk staff will send emails to PiONEer Card holders whose cards have been brought to the Information Desk.
Replacement Fees:
Damaged and or Replacement for Lost/Stolen PiONEer Card: $20.00

ID Proofing

In order to qualify for a PiONEer Card, you will be asked to present proof of identification, in person, at the PiONEer Card Office, located in the Campus Center (at the Information Desk). Only original documents will be accepted.

Patrons will be asked to present a valid government issued ID, form the following list:

  • U.S. Passport
  • U.S. Passport Card
  • Foreign Passport
  • U.S. State or Territory Drivers License
  • US Federal or State Agency ID Card
  • U.S. Military ID Card
  • U.S. Military Dependent’s ID Card
  • U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marine Card

If you do not have one of the forms of valid government ID mentioned above, you may alternatively present two forms of ID from the following list.

  • High School Yearbook, with picture
  • High School Photo ID
  • Credit Card With Photo
  • Lease Agreement
  • Social Security Card
  • Certified Carroll University Transcript
  • Military Discharge DD214
  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • Certified Marriage License
