To limit the number of people at the Information Desk, the Pioneer Card Office now strongly encourages students/faculty/staff who need a replacement card to use Online Photo Submission. Please see below to learn how.
Need a replacement Pioneer Card?
Now you can upload a photo of your choice!
Lost, damaged, or stolen Pioneer Cards must be replaced, and if your old photo was taken more than six months ago, you'll need a new one taken. Introducing Online Photo Submission! Now you can take your photo on your smart device and upload it to the Card Office for placement on your new card.
To start, you'll need to email the Pioneer Card Office to request an Online Photo Submission invitation email. This invitation email contains a personalized link you'll use to upload your photo. Once your photo has been accepted (or denied), we will notify you via your Carroll University email.
Once your photo has been approved, your new card can be picked up at the Campus Center Information Desk. As we are currently closed, please contact us to schedule a time for card pickup. All replacement cards cost $20. We accept cash, check, credit/debit, Apple Pay, and Carroll Cash.
IMPORTANT: Your current Pioneer Card will be deactivated as soon as we print your new card. All access and services will be transferred over to your new Pioneer Card. By submitting a photo, you acknowledge that you need a replacement Pioneer Card and agree to pay the $20 fee.
What you need to know when uploading a photo:
- JPEG, PNG, or GIF
- Plain white or off-white background (no patterns or textures)
- Face and shoulders facing forward. Leave space around your head.
- Eyes open, look at the camera
- No hands, objects, or other people within image (religious head coverings are acceptable)
- Color image, in focus, without any added effects
- Good lighting
- Recent or new photo
- Do not crop (there's an opportunity to crop once uploaded)
- If photo appears horizontal, software will rotate it
Note: Taking a photo with most smart phones/devices works well.
During the online photo submission process, you’ll be asked to upload a photo of a secondary, government-issued ID to verify your identity. Please have an acceptable form ready: US or Territory Driver’s License, US or Foreign Passport, US Military or Military Dependent’s ID Card, US Coast Guard Merchant Marine Card, or US Federal or State Agency ID Card. Your government ID image is erased from the system as soon as your photo is approved. You will also need to present this secondary ID at the Information Desk when you pick up your Pioneer Card. (If you don't have any of these forms of ID, please read the section below for alternatives.)
