Welcome to Carroll University Panhellenic Formal Recruitment 2013

Some locations and times are subject to change so please check back as we get closer to the start of Formal Recruitment. Established dates WILL NOT BE CHANGED. Please try to attend as many events as possible. The required events and other expectations will be explained to you during the Formal Recruitment Orientation Night, so it is VERY important that you attend this event. Also, please make note of the dress codes for each night. Keep in mind that there will be lots of walking and standing involved, so wear comfortable shoes. Feel free to ask any questions if you are unsure about anything!

 

Meet & Greek – Monday, September 2nd

Location: TBD

Time: TBD

Purpose: Meet members of the fraternities and sororities on campus in an informal setting and start learning what each organization and involvement in the Greek community has to offer. You will have a chance to register for formal recruitment at this time.

 

Formal Recruitment Orientation Night – Friday, September 13th

Location: Shattuck Recital Hall

Time: 4:30pm

Purpose: Discuss expectations and further details about formal recruitment and meet sorority presidents, recruitment counselors, and Panhellenic exec board. This is the LAST opportunity to register for Formal Recruitment!

Dress code: casual dress

 

Formal Recruitment Information Night – Sunday, September 15th

Meeting Location: Wright House (event will be held in Campus Center and Chapel)

Time: EVENT WILL BEGIN at 5:25pm

             PLEASE ARRIVE by 5:00pm

Purpose: This is the FIRST night of recruitment rounds. You will be introduced to each sorority, begin to learn about what makes each organization special, and start the journey of finding your home in one of the three sororities on campus.

Dress code: Business casual (i.e. – sundresses, skirts, dress pants, khaki pants, etc)

 

Event Nights – Tuesday, September 17thAND Thursday, September 19th

Meeting Location: TBD (event will be held in Campus Center and Chapel)

Time: EVENT WILL BEGIN at 9:55pm

            PLEASE ARRIVE by 9:25pm

Purpose: Continue getting to know each sorority to help decide which sorority is the right one for you. Each sorority will have different activities, skits, and other things prepared to help you better to learn about their organization.

Dress code: Business casual (i.e. – sundresses, skirts, dress pants, khaki pants, etc)

 

 

 

 

Preference – Saturday, September 21st

Meeting Location: TBD (event will be held in the Chapel)

Time: PLEASE ARRIVE at 8:45am

            *each woman will be given a schedule with times of the round(s) she will attend

Purpose: This is the last time for the sororities to make an impression on you and you make an impression on them before you are offered a bid. Preference is done different by each sorority but is essentially a special ceremony that provides a more personal look into the sisterhood of each sorority.

Dress code: Dressy attire (i.e. – cocktail dresses, nice shirt & skirt, etc.)

 

BID DAY – Sunday, September 22nd

Meeting location: Shattuck Recital Hall

Time: PLEASE ARRIVE by 9:30am

Purpose: This is when you may or may not receive a bid, and if you receive and accept a bid, you will spend the rest of the day with your new sisters!!!

Dress code: casual (keep in mind many sororities bid day activities occur outside)

 

After Bid Day, the Formal Recruitment process will be over, and you will be apart of a sorority! Welcome to the start of your experience in Greek life!
