Global Medical Brigades

Global Brigades USA is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Its mission is to empower volunteers and under-resourced communities to resolve global health and economic disparities and inspire all involved to collaboratively work towards an equal world.

Our chapter at Carroll has most recently traveled to Nicaragua (2018) and Panama (2019). In Nicaragua, we completed a medical brigade as well as a public health brigade and water initiatives! In Panama, we completed a medical/dental hybrid, visited a daycare center, and shadowed in a hospital. Each year, our organization is able to contribute great volunteer work, learn about other cultures & have fun! If you commit to two (2) nine day brigades, you are eligible to apply for a self-design CCE at Carroll.
